  I called Cecilia's on the recommendation of a friend who said they were making a few signature cakes for his wedding (like the ones you see at The Last Resort - not a specialty cake) rather than produce a more traditional and elaborate wedding cake. Sounded like a great idea. Wrong. I called today and spoke with Deseree who, when I explained everything from above, essentially laughed at how dumb I was for not calling sooner for a wedding cake and assured me they could do nothing for me. She then pointed out how irresponsible it was of my future wife to assign a task like cake to the groom. I reiterated that my friend literally just went through the process of lining this up with them last week, at which point she started to let me know they could possibly do that, but I would have to send someone responsible to pick them up. Who assumes their customers are irresponsible? Honestly the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. To be fair, their cakes taste great, which is why I called in the first place. Thought sharing the bizarre customer service experience might at least give someone a heads up as to what they can look forward to in that respect.

  Cecilia cakes are the best in Athens. My family has enjoyed their cakes on holidays and for special occasions for years. They are delicious.
